God I hadn’t even considered what “voice control only” would mean for public spaces. You’re right, that sounds like a nightmare.
Yeah the product they delivered is clearly not what was promised. I lost interest as soon as the subscription model was made obvious.
Personally I’d just like my phone to allow others to contact me and search the internet, that’s all. I don’t need to text constantly, and other than lemmy I have no social media presence. Laser-display voice-control smart-broach actually fits the bill for me, provided it actually fucken worked at all lmao
Also I just really like weird or novel tech. I was an early supporter of pebble and the only thing I regret there is not buying doubles.
I thought it sounded neat, but I’m actively looking for a fun way to ditch regular smartphones. As soon as that rotary cell phone works on regular networks, I’m there.
2 years old, but should be somewhat indicative. A lot of em seem to be 50/50 Airbus/Boeing (except Southwest, yikes), but anecdotally I’ve flown 4 times and it’s always been a Boeing.
edit: hey don’t downvote the guy I’m replying to. if you follow the steps he did you’ll come to the same conclusion. despite the makeup of their fleet, the majority of flights being offered (at least within the US) are on boeings.
I swear to god, 90% of “feeling the bloat” is completely artificial. Go to dev settings and turn up the speed on all the animations. Everything is faster.
My biggest issue is the settings menu being a fucking mess. The new categories suck hard. Wanna see an overview of your storage? Well it used to be under “usage” with your data and battery, but data usage got moved to “connections” with bluetooth and wifi. Now data usage lives under “battery and device care”, conveniently placed 6th from the bottom of the list for easy access.
don’t remind me of better days
