Haven’t they had ads disguised as posts for years now?

Mr. Grinch
Kia Boys are moving up in the world.
My company was pushing MacBooks and iMacs on developers for years, now they’re reversing course. I’m guessing it’s a combination of the upfront cost and the hassle of enterprise administration, tech support, and security having to officially handle 2 different OS’s. It’s much easier to have everyone on similar setups, and Windows is basically the “default” OS for corporate users.
Oh yesyesyesyesssssss 🥵
Spez wouldn’t be into it anyway since I’m not a 15 year old girl.
I still remember clicking a bunch of irrelevant ads for knives and other weird shit on a forum I visited regularly because the owner said they get slightly more money when ads get clicked on site.
I’m doing my part!
But it’s good to have a few excuses ready to go.
Many big politicians are also right-wing extremists, at least here in the US, so that makes sense.
Or at least I hope that’s the story behind his hair, because there can be no other plausible reason for it.
He has a bizarre obsession with Augustus Caesar, who had a similar haircut. This isn’t a meme explanation, he actually has a well-known man-crush on the guy.

And Jan 6 was literally “shoot on sight” treason, but most of those people aren’t getting more than a year or two unless they’re a high profile oath keeper or whatever. We keep treating active attempts to subvert democracy and/or overthrow the government like this and it’s going to bite us in the ass.
I needed a laptop basically to use the Internet and office type stuff. $150 plus a new SSD, then replace ChromeOS with Mint and it works great!
kimjongunderdog claps back at at media by grilling them over their use of ‘slammed’
Had to set up a new laptop for someone over the weekend and Jesus they just won’t stop begging you not to switch.
Search for another browser in the URL/search bar, gigantic banner that pushes the actual search results off the page: “There’s no need to switch browsers, Edge is safe, fast, etc etc etc”
Click the download button for Chrome’s installer, a pop-up notification shows up: “Edge is built on the same technology as Chrome, with the added trust and security of Microsoft” (fucking lol)
Go to switch the default browser in settings, another pop-up shows up again explaining that Edge is the greatest thing since sliced bread, I have to click either “Try Edge (recommended)” or “switch anyway”.
Then I spend 30 minutes navigating their maze of a settings app to change a bunch of ad preferences, etc.
Then I spend another 30 minutes editing registry entries to disable Cortana, Bing search in the search bar, recommended apps.
God damn I’m glad I switched to Linux.
If you’re gonna lay people off, a “layer” of management is probably the right call. Never understood why I do actual work and then multiple layers of management report that work up a needlessly abstracted hierarchy of managers until the CIO knows what’s going on.
Just buy some puts early on. You do not want to pick up shares just to be stuck holding those bags for an indefinite period of time.
