I honestly think it’s pretty funny.
I like these guys.
You know, I wouldn’t be surprised if this starts a trend of ultra-cheap “laptops” that are just hardware extensions for phones with no processing capabilities of their own.
It’s great. We need to consider how many people live in 3rd world countries that only have access to Android phones.
If they can hook up a keyboard, mouse, and a monitor to those phones then it empowers these people to have more opportunities to compete and contribute to the digital space.
Giving them access to the tools of developers could be a godsend.
It’d be much more reliable if we can see the real data that shows how much these employees cost the company.
It’s mainly because making GUIs primarily in code is cumbersome and outdated.
Who are you quoting?
Yes, let’s resist fascism with consumerism.
Completely ignoring how one empowers the other…

I think browsers are unique because it’s how laypeople interact with their computer the most.
No it wouldn’t.
Stop being a useful idiot.
If it’s free software (which it should be), then we’d be able to see any backdoors they add.
It’s about 100 billion times either to create GUI using Godot than HTML + Javascript + CSS.
Nah. This just increases profits.
Cloud hosting is not the answer for everyone.
It was a meme sold to the public by people richer than us so we give up even more control while opening another lifeline to our wallets.
Brad Smith commits org to facing off with US govt in court to protect them
Fuck this bullshit of our government always stepping in to make things unfair for legitimate competition.
I agree. I recommend most people don’t go overboard, but they can still do their part.
Save the things you like and are relevant to you. Movies, shows, games, music, books, etc. You don’t have to be an archivist. Storing data should be something that reflects you, personally, and it should genuinely be more enjoyable as a result.
It should feel good to preserve and be responsible for another copy of the information you like.
Sad how nations poorer than the US have easier access to higher education.
I think the ruling class sees the writing on the wall. They’ve convinced the American public to sell itself out, and we’re just witnessing the results of that.
