Studio heads with no film background make decisions based on spreadsheets. Those people shouldn’t be in the industry… yet they remain.

One or the other. Quality tends to cost more money. Fast food is cheaper than fine dining, but you can tell the difference in quality.
Problem is the Studios charge a lot for crap.
Yes… because there will be users who will always refuse to fix their own computer issues. Even if there’s an easy solution at their fingertips. Many don’t even try to reboot. They just tell IT to fix it… then go get coffee for a half hour.
I mean… self driving cars probably will. Just not as soon as they think. My guess, at least another decade.
It’s obviously a great achievement though it would be nice to see improvements larger than 1-2%.
Let’s hope the next one will be like a 10-12% improvement… though that’s probably wishful thinking.
Storage is likely the bigger issue now.
I bought an Intel last time because I got AMD the time before that and they had issues that I can’t recall right now. Security or they had to slow it down?
Luckily, I’m still on a 11th Gen. I guess I’m going back to AMD when I decide to upgrade again.
Yeah. I’m in IT. I understand the advantages of Linux. I just find it funny how so many people crow about it here.
Fixed. I knew that, just didn’t type it correctly. Guess I was more concerned about getting the three Ys in Kashyyyk right.
Probably includes a bunch of virtual machines.
Fun Fact: Yellow kyber crystals got their unique color from the hardening of Wookiee urine from the mountains of Kashyyyk. It can also be used for Porg banquets due to its salty taste and rough texture.

Oh I’m well aware. I hated deploying Kaspersky. But we switched to Crowdstrike last year and now this happened. Just a funny coincidence.
Luckily, we’re a small company and a third use Macs. The others, well, I had three PC laptop and one virtual server issues. Not too bad. We’re on the West Coast so glad I was aware of it last night when Australia got issues.
And this happens the same week that Kaspersky left the U.S.
They are laughing internally right now.
May I ask why you pirate crappy forgettable movies?
We’ll just get robots to collect the used electronic waste.
Then we’ll get bigger robots to collect the used smaller robot waste.
Done, done, and done.
Eh … it’s not spying. It can’t even understand me when I’m talking to it.
Pretty sure there is a Maga coin already.
Installed applications can tell IT what software is installed on individual computers. IT usually doesn’t care unless something could harm the computer or network… or until some higher up with nothing better to do tells them to do a search for someone like this.
I’m in IT and even I use a mouse jiggle app just so Teams doesn’t show I’m away constantly. Even when I am working on another program, Teams can show the away status which annoys me.
Not everybody who uses it does it to goof off. Micro-managing is so stupid. There are other ways of knowing your employee is doing work.
The least they could’ve done was include a heads-up projection display as an option.
I’ll bet it’ll be there in future models.
Joke’s on them. I go to all those weird porn sites just so they won’t know the real me. I would never be interested in such filth. It’s so that their A.I. will get confused, get hoodwinked. Yup. That’s why I do that.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I must go mess up their algorithm again.
