I wonder if “code” means pull requests and they have a load of automated ones to update versions of external and internal libraries

If someone sees an Angus steakhouse and actually goes in and buys food they must be blind. It’s the most obvious looking tourist trap of a chain you can imagine.
It perches itself on corners in busy parts of London next to major tube stations and preys on the dimmest and laziest tourists. It’s genuinely worrying so many people fall for it and go in, reviews or not.
Recommending it is more of a joke than a serious attempt to convince anyone it’s good.
Won’t compete or can’t compete?
I’m not 100% sure Jared didnt
Light my arse, from the start they’ve interrupted with adverts for their own crap making it barely tolerable. Even on the adfree tier.
Canceled and no intention of ever going back. Measuring your ad load by American standards doesn’t work when your competition is netflix and iPlayer.
Til I use “well actually” too much. I will edit, thank you for the constructive help with my shitpost
Do bombs explode? Or is it the explosives inside of them that are exploding?
Did it really need quotes?
Please don’t “well actually” this
Jfc Christ Lemmy.
Every single comment misunderstanding the point. The batteries are exploding because there’s explosives in them. This does make them exploding batteries. They explode because they are partially made with explosives. Please don’t “well actually” this.
No this is not a description of something Israel did, it’s a hypothetical way to do a similar attack to show how within reach of idiot terrorists it is.
Raising the idea of doing this so everyone is thinking about it is extremely bad for us all. Thanks Israel.
404 broke this with investigate journalism. Account needed to read, to prevent ai scraping.
The Facebook code that outputs to fediverse using activity pub can put any posts it likes into that feed, because it’s not mastodon it’s custom and can absolutely inject ads.
If this is the problem spending a lot of effort to also serve ads along with the real video seems like it’d increase costs.
What you’re talking about is a real problem for Google but it’s not the only cause of the new behaviour since Neal took over
It’s a private company and the only investor that matters is musk.
Until someone uses it for a little more than boilerplate, and the reviewer nods that bit through as it’s hard to review and not something a human/the person who “wrote” it would get wrong.
Unless all the ai generated code is explicitly marked as ai generated this approach will go wrong eventually.
You see, the music labels know that stealing from Spotify is morally correct.
With recall you can search for a website you saw once, a link in a discord channel, an email all at once in one place.
They have (or had) a suspiciously high confession rate too.
They’re really, really bad at context. The main failure case isn’t making things up, it’s having text or image in part of the result not work right with text or image in another part because they can’t even manage context across their own replies.
See images with three hands, where bow strings mysteriously vanish etc.
Kakoune is there for you
