NGL, given how well AI is doing in other fields this sounds like it’ll do more harm than help to their efforts.

Unless it’s an actually competently made machine learning which highlights specific suspicious movements and not any sort of large model.

Definitely not a surprise that the piece of shit Sundar Pichai is working with Trump, though. He attended the Inauguration alongside Bezos, Musk, Zuckerberg, etc.

Nope, it will just be ‘thing that beeps’ to justify whatever they were planning on doing to immigrants anyway, like police dogs.

      Yes.

A nonprofit led by Google and IBM executives is working with Semptian, whose technology is monitoring the internet activity of 200 million people in China.

      Here as well.

$1.2bn contract with the Israeli government. Known as Project Nimbus, the joint contract between Google and Amazon signed in 2021 aims to provide cloud computing infrastructure, artificial intelligence (AI) and other technology services to the Israeli government and its military

Just a quid pro quo to give google a fat government hand out. Only purpose it will serve is to give border agents something to blame for issues. Just like every time DOGE messes up.

True, they’ve already demonstrated a great capacity to fuck up without AI so this will just be more of the same
